Recently it was rumored that Zara would open seven new stores in Vietnam, including the first two stores in Hanoi and five more stores in Ho Chi Minh City. This information along with a leaked market survey, which was said to belong to Zara Vietnam, excited Hanoian fashionistas.

However, Jesus Echeverria, a representative of Inditex, denied this, reported Zing news.

Echeverria said that Zara would expand its activities in Vietnam but it has no plan to open more stores in the near future.

According to Echeverria, other brands of Inditex like Pull & Bear and Massimo Dutti have no plans to open stores in Vietnam in the near future.

In September 2016, Zara opened its first store in Vietnam in HCM City, marking its presence in the Vietnamese market.

Nike, the world famous sports fashion, also opened its online distribution channel for the Vietnamese market.

Along with rumors of the arrival of Zara in Hanoi, it is said that some famous fashion brands such as H&M (Spain) and Uniqlo (Japan) will open their shops in Vietnam. H & M has officially confirmed this information.
