This string of achievements not only reflects his musical prowess but also the serious, well-guided path he’s taken in pursuing formal music education.
Among his accolades, the most prominent is the First Prize in the professional piano category at the Hanoi Student Music Festival 2025–2026, organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

On the afternoon of January 16, Phu Quy’s name was announced among the first prize winners. His piano performance was also chosen as one of eight standout acts to be featured in the evening’s closing gala concert.
Alongside this honor, Phu Quy also earned a gold medal in the professional category at a competition held by the Vietnam Musicians' Association, and another gold at an international piano contest hosted in Vietnam. Three golds in one school year signal both consistency and serious commitment on his artistic journey.
"Music isn’t an easy way out"
When asked what drives him, Phu Quy offered a candid reply: “I’m afraid people might think that students like us - those who study instruments or music - only do it because we can't handle academic subjects. That very thought has become a powerful motivation for me to pursue music seriously and professionally.”
According to Quy, studying music is far from easy - it demands discipline, long-term thinking, and resilience. He remains highly conscious of the need to rigorously study both technique and foundational knowledge, believing both are essential for a sustainable career in the arts.
Currently, he’s focused on professional piano training, especially during his vocal transition phase, seeing piano as a foundational instrument that builds musical thinking, technical precision, and a serious work ethic.
His triple gold success in 2025–2026 - including the first prize from Hanoi’s education department - goes beyond personal recognition. It’s an encouraging example for other students pursuing the arts.
It shows that with proper guidance and structured learning, music can be a serious academic path - one rich in knowledge, discipline, and intellectual depth.
