Huynh Nhut Trung, born in 1987 in Tien Giang, who filmed the wedding, posted a video that has spread via social networks.
Trung told VietNamNet that these were the photos of the wedding ceremony held on May 30 in My Tho, Tien Giang.
The bride was married for the first time in her life. According to local custom, the bride's family, her relatives and friends give presents, which can be gold jewelry, money or valuable things before she leaves the parents’ home for her home, and they wish the bride well.
One of the relatives giving presents to the bride was her older brother. But the present was not his. The man said the present was from his deceased parents who had told him to give the present to his younger sister when she got married.
Witnessing the scene, many people at the event were moved to tears.
“The parents of the bride died many years ago. When her brother held the box of gold jewelry and said ‘this is from father’, all the family members burst into tears,” Trung said.
The photographer later shared the photos on social media, saying that the event was organized solemnly. The photos and video attracted more than 1 million views and tens of thousands of written sentiments from netizens. Many people congratulated the newly married couple and made comments.
“Family love is the most precious thing in our lives,” one woman said.
“Nothing is too late. I wish the newly married couple a happy life."
“I can’t hold back my tears."
“So, you can feel the love from your parents. They did not forget about their daughter”.
