The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam officially opened this morning at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, marking a pivotal political milestone for the country.
A total of 1,586 delegates, representing over 5.6 million Party members nationwide, are participating in this Congress.
The opening session was attended by incumbent and former Party and State leaders, members of the Central Committee, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, distinguished intellectuals, artists, religious dignitaries, and outstanding young people.
Also present were representatives from the diplomatic corps and international organizations, underlining the global attention on this important political event.

The Political Report presented by the 13th Central Committee
A summary report reviewing theoretical and practical lessons from 40 years of socialist-oriented renewal in Vietnam
A report evaluating the implementation of the Party Charter from 2011 to 2025 and proposals for amendments
A self-assessment report on the leadership of the 13th Party Central Committee
One of the Congress's most crucial tasks will be the election of a new Central Committee for the 14th tenure.
Delegates will cast secret ballots to select 200 members - comprising 180 official members and 20 alternates.
