Hang Pagoda is located on Sam Mountain in Chau Doc City, An Giang. It has a tranquil landscape associated with many legends handed down, attracting locals and tourists from all over the world.

Hang Pagoda is also known as Phuoc Dien Tu, in which "Phuoc" is a blessing, and "Dien" means field, roughly understood as the land to cultivate good things.

The pagoda was built along the famous sacred Sam mountain in Chau Doc city. To get to the pagoda, visitors walk on hundreds of steps created from large stone blocks stacked on top of each other.

The campus has 44 attractions: the main hall, the brave cave, the lake of the sea, the courtyard of the fairy, the museum of the sutras, etc. The pagoda has a guide map for visitors to use.

Since 1937, the pagoda has often been restored and rebuilt.

Duong Nhut Long, alias Henry Duong, a young person working in Ho Chi Minh City who is passionate about tourism, said: "I am an An Giang son, I have known about Phuoc Dien pagoda for a long time but I have not had the opportunity to visit. My soul is moved by the tranquil and peaceful scenery shown in the photos and I am curious about the story of the giant snakes," Long said.

The pagoda is located on the slopes of Sam mountain, so there are cool breezes. From here, visitors can see the green landscape of An Giang border fields. Visitors to the pagoda should choose appropriate clothes, and avoid wearing high heels because the path includes many steps.

On weekends, holidays and Tet, the pagoda welcomes a large number of tourists.

The buildings in the temple are designed in harmony with red-brown tones, finely carved roofs and paved walkways. (Photo: Henry Duong)
