The event will take place at 10am on September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in California. Viewers will be able to watch the event live on Apple’s website, the Apple TV app and its official YouTube channel.

This year’s event carries the theme “Surprise and shine,” with the invitation featuring the Apple logo at its center surrounded by a glowing halo.

According to rumors and leaks, the two standard iPhone 18 models will be absent this year. Instead, the spotlight is expected to fall on Apple’s first foldable iPhone, tentatively called the iPhone Ultra, alongside the premium iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The Pro models are expected to feature the A20 Pro processor built on a 2-nanometer process, along with major upgrades to the variable-aperture camera system and improved on-device artificial intelligence processing.

According to Bloomberg, the iPhone Ultra will adopt a book-style folding design, featuring a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch main display inside, providing a viewing area comparable to that of a small tablet.

Its interface is expected to be optimized for multitasking in a manner similar to iPadOS. The hinge mechanism has reportedly drawn positive assessments for its durability and reassuring feel when opening and closing the device.

To keep the device around 4.5mm thick when unfolded, Apple is reportedly removing Face ID and replacing it with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor integrated directly into the power button.

In terms of hardware, the device is expected to use the 2-nanometer A20 Pro processor, with a flattened circuit-board design intended to improve heat dissipation.

Its biggest hardware compromise could be the rear camera system, which is expected to feature only a dual-camera setup comprising a 48MP sensor and an ultra-wide camera, with no telephoto lens for optical zoom.

The iPhone Ultra is expected to start at $2,000, with initial production volumes likely to be relatively limited.

For wearables, Apple is widely expected to introduce the Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4, featuring a new generation of biometric sensors and significantly improved battery life.

Apple’s accessories ecosystem could also welcome a new version of the AirPods Pro, with support for more advanced health-tracking features.

Beyond hardware, Apple is expected to announce official release dates for iOS 20, iPadOS 20 and the next generation of macOS.

Vietnam is expected to remain among the first-wave markets alongside countries such as the US and Singapore. If Apple follows the anticipated schedule, Vietnamese consumers could be able to preorder the new products from September 11 and receive them from September 18.
