A survey conducted at Apple Authorized Resellers (AARs) in June 2026 shows that both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 are now selling at historically low price levels compared with their original launch periods.
The iPhone 13 128GB is widely available for around VND11.99 million (USD460), while the iPhone 14 128GB is selling for between VND13.99 million and VND14.59 million (USD537-560), depending on the retailer and color option.
These are the lowest prices recorded since the devices were introduced, significantly below their original launch prices of approximately VND24.99-25.99 million (USD960-999).
Compared with launch prices, the iPhone 13 has lost more than half of its value, dropping by roughly VND13 million (USD500), while the iPhone 14 has fallen by around VND11 million (USD423), representing a decline of more than 40%.
Industry observers say the discounts reflect inventory clearance efforts as newer generations such as the iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 have become the market's primary products.
Nguyen Tuan Linh, a mobile phone retailer, said both devices have now entered the final stage of their commercial lifecycle.
"These models have been on the market for several years. As newer iPhone generations continue to arrive, retailers have little choice but to lower prices to reduce inventory," Linh said.
He added that increasing competition from upper mid-range and premium Android smartphones is also placing pressure on older iPhone models to compete more aggressively on price.
From the consumer perspective, the growing tendency to keep devices longer before upgrading has also weakened demand for older models.
As a result, retailers have become more flexible with pricing strategies in order to maintain sales, particularly during the mid-year period when consumer demand is typically softer.
The downward pricing trend is not limited to older devices.
The iPhone 15 128GB is currently selling for approximately VND16.79 million (about USD645), while the iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB is available for around VND25.89 million (USD995), depending on retailer and color variant.
These figures are significantly below the original launch prices of VND22.99-34.99 million (USD883-1,345).
Compared with launch levels, the standard iPhone 15 has declined by more than VND6.2 million (USD238), or over 25%, while the premium iPhone 15 Pro Max has fallen by roughly VND9.1 million (USD350), representing a decrease of more than 26%.
Even the newer iPhone 16 series, introduced last year, has not escaped the broader market adjustment.
The iPhone 16 128GB is currently priced at around VND20.49 million (USD787), while the iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB sells for approximately VND30.99 million (USD1,191).
Compared with launch prices, the standard iPhone 16 has declined by roughly VND2.5 million (USD96), or around 10%, while the flagship Pro Max version has fallen by about VND4 million (USD154), equivalent to roughly 11% of its original value.
