Although H’Hen Nie made the Top 8 of Miss Grand Slam 2018, she failed to progress to the Top 5 of the contest. She had previously achieved a great landmark for Vietnamese beauty by winning Missosology’s Timeless Beauty award, a historic moment for the nation in global pageants. Her success has proved to be an inspiration for many young people throughout the country. The beauty takes a photo alongside Vietnamese- New Zealand girl Alexandra Toni Matheson, the winner of three prizes at the Little Miss & Little Mister United World 2018.
Phuong Khanh was awarded the crown of Miss Earth 2018 during the finale in the Philippines on November 3. She became the first Vietnamese national to win the title.
Khanh poses for a photo alongside talented-child model Nguyen Le Bao Uyen. Huong Giang, was the Vietnamese representative at Miss International Queen 2018 and went onto win the pageant during the grand finale of the transgender pageant in Pattaya, Thailand, on March 9. She has also been named as a social influencer, particularly due to her focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues. She takes a photo with child model Quynh Anh, who was one of four Vietnamese children performing at Shanghai International Fashion Week 2018. Hoang Thuy was named as the first runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2017. She has been officially chosen as Vietnam’s representative at the upcoming Miss Universe 2019 beauty pageant. Thuy has been mentored by supermodel Xuan Lan and is thought of as one of her favourite students.
