Hanoi authorities will impose temporary road closures and traffic restrictions across parts of the city center from July 9 to July 12 to facilitate the "Peaceful Fatherland" Gala and a series of events marking the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force.

The Hanoi Traffic Police Division announced on July 6 that the capital will host gala performances, exhibitions and public engagement activities commemorating the force's founding on July 12, 1946.

To ensure security and traffic safety during the celebrations, authorities will temporarily restrict vehicle access on several major roads in the city center.

A full road closure will be in effect on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, between Tran Nguyen Han Street and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 9.

Additional traffic controls will be enforced from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on July 9 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 10. During these periods, trucks with a payload capacity of 500 kilograms or more and passenger vehicles with 16 seats or more will not be permitted to enter the restricted area, except for public buses, garbage collection vehicles, emergency response vehicles and vehicles displaying official security permits.

Private cars and motorcycles will also be subject to traffic restrictions on many streets in central Hanoi, including Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To, Ngo Quyen, Ly Thai To, Tran Nguyen Han, Nguyen Huu Huan, Cau Go, Hang Gai, Hang Bong, Luong Van Can, Hang Ngang, Hang Dao, Le Lai, Le Thach, Hang Khay, Ba Trieu, Hang Bai, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Hang Trong, Nha Tho, Nha Chung, Quang Trung and Ly Quoc Su.

The Hanoi Traffic Police Division urged motorists to comply with Vietnam's road traffic regulations and follow directions from police officers and traffic controllers throughout the events.
