From June 24 to 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the 15th Annual Meeting of the New Champions by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Dalian and engaged in official business in China.

Ambassador Xiong Bo emphasized that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation in the WEF event showcases Vietnam's support for international events hosted by China.

During his visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held high-level meetings with Chinese leaders, exchanging strategic views and reaching several important agreements.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation in the WEF Annual Meeting in Dalian for the third consecutive time underscores the importance both the Chinese government and the WEF place on Vietnam, highlighting its significant role and influence in the global economy.

Alongside Polish President Andrzej Duda, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and WEF Founder and Chairman Klaus Schwab, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the opening of the conference.

In his keynote speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed Vietnam's remarkable socio-economic achievements and strategic development plans, inviting international businesses to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in Vietnam.

Ambassador Xiong Bo praised Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's speech, noting that it underscored the shared vision between Vietnam and China on several global issues and was well-received by attendees.

Developing and connecting transportation infrastructure, particularly the railway system, is a key focus of Vietnam-China cooperation. During his visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the "Vietnam-China Cooperation Conference on Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Development and the Role of Vietnamese and Chinese Enterprises," meeting with leaders of top Chinese infrastructure companies.

Ambassador Xiong Bo highlighted the success of the conference, which saw participation from major transportation infrastructure companies and the presence of Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing.

China is ready to support Vietnam in building and planning the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line. The 380 km line will connect Hai Phong's international gateway port with China's railway system in Lao Cai, ensuring seamless integration with the Kunming - Hekou North railway.

China will also provide non-refundable aid to help Vietnam develop the Lang Son (Dong Dang) - Hanoi and Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hai Phong railway lines.

Ambassador Xiong Bo believes these projects will significantly enhance Vietnam's economic development and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the supply and production chains. He envisions Vietnam becoming a vital connector between Europe, West Asia, and ASEAN through trans-China railways.

"These cooperation initiatives are of strategic importance," stated Ambassador Xiong Bo. He affirmed that this partnership reflects a high level of political trust between Vietnam and China, symbolizing a "Community with a Shared Future of Strategic Significance between Vietnam and China."
