Authorities have fined a 75-year-old Chinese man identified as Z.T. after he was caught riding a motorized suitcase through the streets of downtown Ho Chi Minh City. The incident went viral on social media, drawing widespread attention.

On March 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, in collaboration with the Ben Nghe Ward Police (District 1), summoned Z.T. for questioning and issued a fine.
Authorities confirmed that he had not yet left Vietnam, allowing them to take action.
The viral video, circulating for several days, shows Z.T. comfortably riding a suitcase along major streets like Nguyen Hue and Le Thanh Ton in District 1.
After being alerted to the incident, officers tracked down Z.T.'s hotel, only to find he had already moved to Tan Son Nhat International Airport on the morning of March 21.

However, since Z.T. had not yet departed from Vietnam, the authorities were able to summon him. During questioning, Z.T. admitted to violating traffic regulations.
Traffic police issued an administrative penalty for using a prohibited device on a roadway, specifically for operating "skateboards, rollerblades, and similar devices on motor vehicle lanes." The fine amounted to approximately $10 (225,000 VND).
In a similar incident, a 43-year-old woman identified as T.T.N.T. was also fined $10 for riding a suitcase along Le Duan Street in District 1.
