On March 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, in collaboration with other relevant units, initiated an investigation to address the incident of a man "riding" a suitcase through traffic.

The video, shared on TikTok, shows an elderly man using a motorized suitcase as a mode of transport, maneuvering through bustling roads like Nguyen Hue and Le Thanh Ton in District 1 on the morning of March 20. This unusual act has sparked public debate, as it violates traffic laws and creates safety concerns.

The man has been identified as Z.T., a 75-year-old Chinese national, who had been staying at a hotel in Binh Tan District. According to the hotel staff, Z.T. checked out and was driven to Tan Son Nhat Airport on the morning of March 21.

Traffic police confirmed that the suitcase used for transportation is not a recognized vehicle and is not permitted on public roads. The incident drew widespread attention online, prompting authorities to address the situation to maintain road safety and order.
