According to the police, the Chinese suspect, passport No. E69780362, is residing at An Phu apartment on Hau Giang street of District 6 in the southern city.

The investigation showed that in 2019 a Chinese citizen named Wang Zi Heng had guaranteed JinWen a loan of US$20,000 from Heng's friend Zhang Lei.

However, JinWen did not repay the debt. After being constantly reminded of the debt by Wang Zi Heng, the Chinese suspect then decided to arrange a meeting with Heng at a café.

At the location, JinWen suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed Wang Zi Heng multiple times. The victim was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment while JinWen managed to escape.

The Ho Chi Minh City police then issued a warrant for the arrest of Zhang JinWen for murder.
