Vietnam’s CPI rises 1.14% in February on Tet demand

Vietnam’s consumer price index (CPI) in February rose 1.14% from the previous month as prices increased in most major groups of goods and services, the National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Finance announced on March 6.

The NSO reported that December's CPI climbed 0.19% from November and 3.48% from a year earlier. Fourth-quarter average CPI went up 3.44% year-on-year.

National CPI up 3.27% in ten months

Vietnam’s consumer price index (CPI) rose 3.27% year-on-year in the first ten months of 2025, while core inflation increased 3.2%, the National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Finance reported on November 6.

September CPI rises 0.42% on higher education, food, housing costs

September’s CPI climbed 2.61% from December 2024 and 3.38% from a year earlier. The third-quarter average CPI rose by 3.27% year-on-year, lifting the nine-month average inflation rate to 3.27%.
