Experts have warned that more attacks, even more destructive, could be deployed in the future if organizations and businesses continue to be indifferent to information security.

The large-scale cyberattacks at the two most important airports in Vietnam – Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat – showed flaws in the industry and may even have long-term negative impact on other business sectors, including the banking sector. 

VietNamNet Bridge - Regarding the cyberattacks at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat Airports on July 29, experts from BKAV, Vietnam's leading network security firm, believe that Vietnam Airlines’ computers might have been controlled by spyware.

DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attacks, which paralyzed many information portals, online newspapers and government agencies’ websites in 2014, will continue to be the biggest threat in 2015.

 Vietnam, along with the US, India and Germany, have the greatest number of Internet users affected by phishing attacks, with the total number doubling since last year, computer security company Kaspersky Lab says.
