On August 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City launched a new campaign titled “New Da Nang - New Experience,” introducing five key promotional programs aimed at attracting both domestic and international tourists.
The highlight is the “Enjoy Da Nang - Multi-experience Festival” taking place from August 15 to October 31, offering a wide array of discounts. These include free admission to the Da Nang Museum, Cham Sculpture Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, and the Sa Huynh Cultural Museum. Additionally, entrance tickets to attractions such as Dong Giang Heaven Gate are discounted by 40 to 50 percent. Tens of thousands of vouchers offering 20 to 50 percent off accommodations, dining, Han River cruises, and taxi services are also available.
The next offering is a set of “Three Experience Passports” available from September 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. These include a Culinary Passport, Heritage Passport, and Green Travel Passport, available in both physical and digital formats. Each passport offers special benefits such as free or discounted entry, digital payment incentives, transport discounts, and gifts for those who collect a full set of stamps.
The third program features a series of cultural events and festivals, including parades, traditional ao dai performances, Mid-Autumn Festival (October 3–6), and New Year celebrations in December. These will be held along both banks of the Han River, as well as in Hoi An and Tam Ky.
The fourth campaign, “I Love Da Nang,” targets international tourists who have previously visited the city since 2020 and are returning. Visitors from China, South Korea, Japan, and ASEAN countries will receive free eSIMs, discount vouchers, and gifts.
Additionally, Da Nang will roll out dedicated policies for MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) and destination weddings throughout 2025.
Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that the city aims to welcome over 17.3 million visitors in 2025, including 7.6 million international tourists and 9.7 million domestic travelers. The projected tourism revenue is more than 29.9 trillion VND (approximately 1.18 billion USD).
According to Hanh, in addition to enriching the tourism experience, the department is focused on ensuring high service quality and building a friendly, safe tourism environment.
Also on this occasion, the city introduced the “Da Nang SMILE Tourism Culture Criteria,” which will be monitored by the Department and the Da Nang Tourism Association. The program includes a hotline for collecting feedback and handling complaints, ensuring tourists’ rights throughout their stay.
