A survey shows that 41% of Vietnamese travelers plan to travel during the holiday to rest, reconnect with loved ones, and enjoy new experiences.

According to Booking.com data, between August 29 and September 3, the most-searched domestic destinations reflect the diversity of Vietnamese travel preferences - from vibrant cultural hubs to serene beaches and cool highland retreats.

Hanoi leads the list thanks to a packed calendar of activities and festivals, attracting not only solo travelers but also families and groups of friends. With 31% of travelers choosing destinations for special events, the capital stands out as a center of cultural experiences.

Da Nang ranks second, offering blue seas, white sands, and a relaxed pace of life. It caters to both relaxation seekers and explorers, with highlights like My Khe Beach, Ba Na Hills, and the Son Tra Peninsula.

Da Lat comes third, favored by 56% of Vietnamese travelers seeking a nature-filled getaway. Known as the “city of flowers,” it charms visitors with its fresh air, romantic scenery, and countless outdoor activities.

Other popular destinations include Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Hue, Hoi An, Phu Quoc, Mui Ne, and Ho Chi Minh City. While Nha Trang and Phu Quoc shine with sunny beaches, Hue and Hoi An draw visitors with cultural heritage. Ho Chi Minh City entices travelers with its vibrant street life, diverse cuisine, and entertainment.
