Do Huu Huy, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, was elected Chairman of the Dak Lak People’s Committee. His appointment was approved by a majority vote of council delegates.

At the same session, Cao Thi Hoa An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and incumbent Chairwoman of the People’s Council, was re-elected to continue leading the council for the new term.

Supporting the council leadership are Vice Chairpersons Tu Thai Giang, Do Thai Phong and Phuc Binh Nie Kdam.

The newly elected vice chairpersons of the provincial People’s Committee for the 2026-2031 term include Nguyen Thien Van, Truong Cong Thai, Dao My and Ho Thi Nguyen Thao.

Born in 1980, Do Huu Huy is originally from Hai Phong and holds a Master’s degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he has held several key positions, including Chief of Office and later Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises.

In February 2025, he was appointed by the Party Secretariat to join the executive and standing committees of the Binh Thuan provincial Party Committee, serving as Deputy Secretary for the 2020-2025 term. He later assumed the role of Chairman of the Binh Thuan People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 period.

In July 2025, he was reassigned as Deputy Secretary of the Dak Lak provincial Party Committee. By January 2026, he had been elected as an alternate member of the 14th Party Central Committee.

His election as Chairman of the Dak Lak People’s Committee is expected to contribute to continuity in leadership while also bringing renewed momentum to the province’s administrative and economic development agenda.
