VietNamNet Bridge – The State, in an effort to encourage the development of private schools in a program on education socialization, promised to offer some investment incentives. However, the schools complain they have to pay overly high taxes.
People-founded schools compare themselves as the state’s “abandoned children,” because unlike state owned schools, they don’t receive any support from the State.
The information that the Ministry of Education and Training prohibits Vietnamese children under five years old to go to international schools has raised controversy.
People-founded schools, which are in the danger of getting dissolved because of the lack of students, have been vocal about the indifference of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to their difficulties.
Like Hanoi, HCM City authorities soon realized the danger put before the pre-school education of the city, once the education socialization policy started.
The last 10 years witnessed big upheavals in the pre-school education. The policy on pre-school education socialization has kept a lot of children away from kindergartens.
