More than just a destination with stunning natural beauty, Southern Phu Quoc Island is fast becoming a "multi-experience paradise" with luxurious resorts, artistic architecture, and a variety of unique, world-class experiences. This region, known for its breathtaking beaches, is a must-visit for those seeking adventure and relaxation alike.

Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island and first coastal city, spanning 567 km², is blessed with natural resources ideal for tourism. Its temperate climate, year-round sunshine, mountains, and beaches with hues of sand from brownish yellow to creamy white make it a top destination.

Southern Phu Quoc, is known as"Sun Paradise Land," boasts the world’s most stunning beaches, an 18-island archipelago, and the largest coral conservation area in the region. This area is being developed into a 24/7 leisure and entertainment hub, perfect for all-year-round visits.

When Is the best time to visit Southern Phu Quoc?

The best time to visit Phu Quoc is from November to April during the dry season. With minimal rain, calm seas, gentle waves, and warm sunshine, it's the ideal time for outdoor activities. However, even during other months, despite the west wind season, tourists can still enjoy the beauty of the eastern coast, home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches such as Sao Beach and Kem Beach.

Southern Phu Quoc is a convenient 30-minute drive from Phu Quoc International Airport, and most resorts offer private cars or shuttle buses. It’s also a 45-minute drive from Duong Dong Center, with taxis costing around 400,000 VND (16 USD).

Sun Group provides a double-decker bus between Southern Island and Duong Dong for 100,000 VND (4 USD) each way. All resorts at Kem Beach offer free shuttle services to and from Sunset Town.

Unmissable nature experiences in Southern Phu Quoc

Nature is Southern Phu Quoc’s greatest asset. Kem Beach and Sao Beach feature powdery white sands and crystal-clear waters, standing out from other beaches on the island. These beaches are renowned for their gentle slopes and calm waters, making them perfect for families to enjoy swimming and engaging in activities like kayaking, banana boat riding, and jet skiing.

During the day, Sunset Town feels like an outdoor art museum with romantic streets painted in sunset hues, European-style architecture, and vibrant bougainvillea, creating perfect photo opportunities.

At sunset, the town comes to life, especially around Kiss Bridge, a “not-touching” bridge praised by CNN as a symbol of sweet love. At night, tourists can enjoy performances such as Vietnamese folk shows at A Oi Theatre and the "Kiss of the Sea" show at the world’s largest sea-based theater, enhanced by multimedia technology.

This year-end, the thrilling sports and art show Symphony of the Sea will return with over 120 performers showcasing Jetski, Flyboard stunts, and vibrant Vietnamese cultural displays, including traditional drums, lion dances, and fireworks.
