This is the unique eel raising method of Mr Ngo Sy Quan, 31, in Quynh Luu district. In 2021, hearing that raising eels with no mud can be economically efficient, Quan built 22 square tanks, 6 sq m each, and bought 10,000 eel breeders.
The music helps eels be familiar with sounds around them, preventing them from getting shocked because of sounds that may cause sudden death. When feeding eels and changing water, he always turns the music on.
Every year, Quan sells 6-7 tons of eels at VND150,000-170,000 per kilogram and earns a profit of VND300 million.
