“A once-in-a-lifetime wedding for our daughter calls for a once-in-a-lifetime gesture,” read the caption of a viral TikTok video showing a golden apricot garden in full bloom, posted in late October of the lunar calendar. The clip has drawn over 300,000 views and more than 10,000 likes.

The woman behind the viral moment is Dieu Hien, born in 1997 and originally from Hau Giang, now living in Can Tho. Speaking with VietNamNet, she shared how her parents’ love turned her wedding into a fairytale.

Hien’s wedding was held on November 30, 2025, at her family home. The ceremony space, including a floral gate and marquee, was set up right in front of their home - where more than 50 apricot trees, carefully cultivated for the Tet holiday, were just weeks away from harvest.

To mark the joyous occasion, her parents decided to make every tree bloom early, turning their garden into a dazzling, golden backdrop for the celebration.

“My parents have been growing apricot trees for three years. These 50-plus trees right in front of our home are the result of their year-long effort and care,” Hien said.

“Usually, we time the blossoms to bloom around Tet to sell them, but this year, because I was getting married, they told me: ‘You only get married once in your life. We can skip selling this year.’”

Twenty days before the wedding, Hien’s parents began the blooming process by picking the leaves and adjusting the watering schedule. Luckily, the weather cooperated, and every tree bloomed just in time for the big day.

Thanks to the blooming apricot garden, wedding decorations were kept simple yet stunning. Hien adorned the entrance with roses and asters, while the indoor area was dressed in soft pink-and-white curtains with a family altar set up thoughtfully.

“When I saw everything come together, I was overwhelmed. I feel incredibly lucky to have parents who love and care for me so deeply,” she said.

The golden apricot blossoms lined the path from the gate to the wedding marquee, blending harmoniously with the soft hues of roses and other flowers, creating a picturesque and unique atmosphere that set her wedding apart.

Guests were mesmerized, many stopping to take photos in the blooming garden. Reactions ranged from “What a grand gesture from the bride’s parents” to “This is the most beautiful and unique wedding I’ve ever attended.” Even the groom and his family were stunned by the sight.

“Normally, each tree sells for $200–280,” Hien shared. “The value of over 50 trees isn’t small. But my parents didn’t hesitate to forgo the profit for my special day. I’m beyond grateful.”
