Groom in Hung Yen breaks down remembering his late mother

The groom sheds tears on his wedding day.
On April 13, during his wedding, Tran Van Tien (born 1997, from Hung Yen) was seen choking back tears while lighting incense at the family altar before heading to the bride’s house.
His mother had passed away from stomach cancer two years earlier. Her absence made the biggest day of his life feel incomplete.
What broke him, however, was his sister’s quiet whisper as she pinned a flower to his suit: “It should have been Mom doing this for you.”
Tien shared that his mother had worked tirelessly all her life to raise him. She had always hoped to see her son build a home and get married, but illness claimed her before that dream came true.
Overwhelmed with emotion, he cried for the mother who couldn't be there.
With the support of loved ones, Tien pulled himself together and completed the ceremony. Videos capturing the moment quickly went viral, touching thousands.
Tien had previously received attention for building a home to honor his parents. Born into a farming family, he had long dreamed of replacing their two-room, dilapidated house. In 2019, he went to Japan for work.
By 2024, he had fulfilled that dream, completing a spacious two-story home worth approximately USD 75,000 for his 70-year-old father.
Bride weeps as her brother with Down syndrome gifts her gold on her wedding day

The bride moved to tears as her brother with Down syndrome presents a gold gift.
In another touching wedding held on February 7, a heartwarming scene unfolded as the bride, My Tien (born 1999, from Binh Dinh, now living in Gia Lai), received a gold gift from her older brother Khoi (born 1993), who was born with Down syndrome.
Due to speech and literacy challenges, Khoi had left school early. Despite this, he remained deeply devoted to his family.
From a young age, he had helped raise pigs and cows and collected recyclables to earn money. Over time, he saved enough to buy gold.
When he learned that his younger sister was getting married, he promised her he would gift her a gold ring - and he kept his promise.
Trembling with emotion, Khoi walked onto the stage and handed her the ring, tears streaming down his face. The entire room was overcome with emotion.
Throughout the ceremony, Khoi was a constant presence, gently guiding his sister along the stage. Even after the wedding, he continued to call her, reminding her to take care of herself.
Single father in Nghe An weeps as daughter leaves for husband’s home

A single father in Nghe An weeps as he sends his daughter off to her husband’s home.
In September 2025, social media was moved by the image of a father crying as he sent his daughter off to her husband’s home.
Nguyen Van Lac (born 1971, from Nhan Hoa commune, Nghe An) had raised his four children alone for 20 years following his wife’s tragic death in a traffic accident.
As his second daughter departed to start her new life nearly 80 miles away, his emotions overwhelmed him.
He was both happy for her new beginning and heartbroken to see her go.
That day, he couldn’t hold back his sobs.
Over the years, Mr. Lac had worked countless jobs to support his children, shielding them from hardship so they could grow up carefree.
“I carried the financial burden alone. It was tough, but I rarely complained. I wanted my children to have a happy childhood and a strong foundation to be confident in themselves and their family,” he shared with VietNamNet.
The moment he whispered final words to his daughter and broke down in tears became one of the most poignant wedding images of 2025.
Groom’s brother with hearing impairment blesses couple in sign language

At the wedding of Nguyen Quang Nhut (born 1997, from Dong Nai) and Nguyen Minh Thu (born 1997, from Lam Dong), held on November 30, guests fell silent as the groom’s older brother offered a blessing in sign language.
Vu Thien (born 1994), who is deaf, took the stage and signed heartfelt memories of childhood and a moving message:
“I wish you both happiness, growing old together on the same path.”
As Thien signed, Nhut translated aloud for the guests.
At times, he smiled. At others, his voice trembled. Minh Thu, the bride, wiped away her tears.
The video of the scene quickly spread online, garnering over 1.2 million views.
Nhut shared that his brother had always been a role model of perseverance and love.
In order to better communicate with Thien, Nhut had learned sign language.
Today, he proudly serves as his brother’s “interpreter.”
