Phung Hung Street in Ha Dong District, particularly the section near Military Hospital 103, has been inundated for nearly 500 meters. Many locals have had to either walk on the sidewalks or push their vehicles to avoid stalling in the water.
Nguyen Kien, a resident of Ha Dong, noted that the area in front of Military Hospital 103 is particularly prone to flooding. The street often experiences waterlogging during heavy rains, making travel extremely difficult for residents.
Approximately 500 meters away, Yen Xa Street in Tan Trieu, Thanh Tri district, is also affected by flooding, with water reaching up to 30 centimeters, equivalent to the height of vehicle tires.
Mai Thu Huyen from Thanh Tri commented that while she expected some flooding due to the rainstorm, the depth of the water was much greater than anticipated.
National Road 6, near Yen Nghia Bus Station in Ha Dong, is also experiencing significant flooding. Representatives from Traffic Police Team No. 10 (Hanoi Traffic Police) advised drivers to seek alternative routes to avoid flooded areas and follow instructions from traffic officers.
The Thang Long Boulevard, particularly the area around the third pedestrian underpass (Km 8), is also submerged, creating difficulties for passing vehicles.
Hanoi Traffic Police representatives have stated that due to the continued effects of Typhoon Prapiroon, further heavy rain is expected. The police have deployed officers to frequently flooded areas to manage traffic and assist residents.
