Klook revealed that the average spending of a foreign visitor in the country increased by 13% compared to last year.
It also quoted Vietnam General Statistics Office’s official inbound travel data for the first quarter of the year, saying that the country served a total of 4.6 million international visitors. This figure surpassed pre-pandemic levels for the same period, with Korean tourists leading the way. It was followed by Taiwan (China), Singapore, and the Philippines.
According to the platform, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Hanoi, and Ha Long were among the top destinations. Of these, Phu Quoc in the southern province of Kien Giang witnessed the sharpest increase in the number of international tourists during the reviewed period, 3.5 times higher compared to last year, followed by the capital city of Hanoi.
