CAHN wasted little time asserting control of the 2026 National Super Cup, overwhelming Ho Chi Minh City Police with their pace, movement and attacking quality.

The breakthrough came after just eight minutes. Cao Quang Vinh did well on the left to get past Lenn-Minh Tran before sending a precise cross toward the far post, where Alan was left with space to head past goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang.

CAHN continued to dominate possession and create the better chances. Alan threatened again with a header before Le Giang was forced into a fine save following a corner, preventing his own defender from inadvertently turning the ball into the net.

The goalkeeper was called upon repeatedly as the pressure mounted. Le Van Do failed to beat him in a one-on-one after being played through by Alan, but there was little Le Giang could do two minutes later.

A poor defensive header fell invitingly to Alan inside the penalty area, and the striker reacted immediately, driving a low shot through Le Giang's legs to make it 2-0 in the 28th minute.

CAHN could have extended their advantage further when Stefan Mauk tested Le Giang with a powerful effort from inside the box. Alan also unleashed a fierce strike that the goalkeeper managed to keep out.

Ho Chi Minh City Police, meanwhile, struggled to find a way through the hosts' defense. Their first notable attempt did not arrive until stoppage time in the first half, when Williams Minh Hoang curled an effort toward the top corner but sent it wide.

Moments later, CAHN struck again.

Alan produced a clever through ball to release Andres Perea, who raced clear of the defense, rounded Le Giang and calmly finished into an empty net to send the hosts into half-time with a commanding 3-0 lead.

Three goals down, Ho Chi Minh City Police had little choice but to attack after the restart, yet they continued to find clear opportunities difficult to create. Olaha Manh Duc managed to break into the penalty area and shoot wide in the 54th minute, although the assistant referee had already raised the flag for offside.

CAHN coach Mano Polking made four changes in the 64th minute, including introducing ASEAN Cup 2026 champions Quang Hai and Dinh Bac in place of Thanh Long and Alan.

The substitutions quickly paid off.

Five minutes after coming on, Dinh Bac beat the offside trap to collect Leo Artur's pass, rounded his Vietnam teammate Patrik Le Giang and finished clinically for CAHN's fourth goal.

The hosts needed only another three minutes to strike again. Leo Artur provided another assist from the left, this time picking out fellow substitute Frans Putros, whose well-directed header found the bottom corner to make it 5-0.

With the result effectively settled, CAHN eased off the pressure, although Dinh Bac remained dangerous. He had another opportunity inside the penalty area before finding the net again in the 84th minute, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

Ho Chi Minh City Police could find no response before the final whistle, leaving CAHN to celebrate an emphatic 5-0 victory and their second consecutive Vietnamese National Super Cup title.

The result provided an impressive statement from Polking's side ahead of the new season. With a squad featuring several Vietnam internationals and considerable attacking depth, CAHN turned what had been expected to be a competitive contest between two clubs associated with Vietnam's public security forces into a one-sided display at Hang Day Stadium.
