According to the schedule, the tournament is set to be held from November 23 to December 21 and will feature the participation of 10 Southeast Asian teams.

Participating teams will duly be divided into two groups and will compete in a round-robin format.

In the group stage, the two leading teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals. In both the semi-final and final rounds, participating sides will play home and away fixtures, with the away goals rule being applied in order to decide the winners in the event of a draw.

Before the group stage, the two teams with the lowest ranking in the region will compete in a play-off in order to earn a place in the next round.

Thailand are the defending champions and hold the most championships titles as they were crowned winners in 1996, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2020, and 2022.

Vietnam also have two victories in the tournament, with the national team’s win coming in 2008 and 2018.
