To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, Hanoi will organize six fireworks displays, including two high-altitude shows combined with low-altitude effects and pyrotechnics around Hoan Kiem Lake.
The Hanoi People's Committee has issued an official plan for the fireworks events to mark the occasion.
According to the plan, two of the six fireworks displays will take place in central Hoan Kiem District - specifically in front of the headquarters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper and Hanoi Post Office. These sites will feature both high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks with artistic pyrotechnics.
The remaining four shows will be held at Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District), the National Sports Complex (Nam Tu Liem District), the Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho District), and Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong District).
Each location will launch 600 high-altitude fireworks and 90 low-altitude fireworks racks, with all six shows scheduled to take place from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2, 2025.
The total budget allocated for the celebration is approximately 13.45 billion VND (around $528,800 USD), funded by the local government. Hanoi’s Capital High Command will lead the event in coordination with the city’s police force, various departments, and district-level authorities to ensure absolute safety and security before, during, and after the displays.
