Following the welcome ceremony, Presidents To Lam and Putin led high-level delegations in talks to review and propose future cooperation. They will co-chair a press conference to announce the results.
President Putin is also scheduled to meet with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.
Additionally, he will meet National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, members of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, and alumni who studied in Russia. The day will conclude with a state banquet.
This visit marks President Putin's fourth to Vietnam, highlighting the significance of strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, especially as they work towards realizing the Joint Declaration on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Vision until 2030.
