Universities nationwide are going to hold the preliminary rounds of Robocon Vietnam 2017 on March 1-20 to shortlist 6 teams for the qualifying round scheduled to take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on April 1-5.

According to the organising board, 32 outstanding teams will continue to compete in the final round slated for May 9-14 in Ninh Binh province.

The winner will represent Vietnam at the ABU (Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union) Robocon 2017 in Tokyo, Japan on August 24-30.

First launched in 2003, Robocon has become an annual contest for students in the field of technology in every university and college in the Asia-Pacific region.
