VietNamNet Bridge - After more than 2 weeks, the AAG (Asia America Gate Way) international sub-marine cable was completed repaired and the Internet connection from Vietnam to the world has been fully restored.

The broken optic fiber line offshore Vietnam (Vung Tau - Hong Kong segments) was fixed at night on January 4. From January 5, Vietnamese telecom operators in Vietnam have restored the full Internet traffic through this optic cable system.

The Asia-America Gateway cable linear reportedly broke on December 20, affecting 40 percent of Vietnam’s international traffic.

The accident with the sub-marine cable linear affected international connections from Vietnam, making it difficult to access to foreign websites and send emails to addresses on foreign servers. AAG is the cable system that attracts the highest number of users because it is cheaper than others.

AAG is one of the world's largest sub-marine cable systems in the world, with over 20,000 km in length, connecting Southeast Asia to the United States, through the Pacific, which was put into use from November 2009.

AAG got broken several times in the past and it always took much time to fix the problem.
