Simzi and Baek, a couple from South Korea, began their itinerary of discovering the world several years ago, and they stay in each destination for one month.
Most recently, Simzi and Baek visited many attractions in Vietnam, such as HCM City, Da Lat in Lam Dong province and Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa.
Not only impressed with the natural scenery, interesting experiences and delicious food, Simzi and her husband were also surprised that there were many Korean tourists in the coastal city.
Just within one day of walking on streets and going to several cafes, Simzi met about 100 fellow Koreans.
The couple said when traveling around the world over the last two years, they have rarely seen other South Korean tourists. They joked that Nha Trang is "the place where you can meet the highest number of South Korean people in the world".
“I totally understand why there are so many South Korean travelers in Nha Trang. It is a wonderful place which makes you happy,” she said.
Her husband, Baek, said Nha Trang was "much more beautiful than expected" and he especially liked the clean and safe sidewalks. They said everything was convenient as they could find service providers everywhere.
“When you go out, you can find restaurants, supermarkets, massage parlours and markets,” he said. “When we visited some localities, we found that many signs were written in Korean language. So, we believe that the city is worth visiting for South Koreans."
The couple spent two weeks to discover Nha Trang and enjoy local specialties, and prior to that, stayed in Da Lat for one month.
The couple said the food in NhaTrang was delicious and surprisingly cheap. They tasted banh my chao (baguette with combo), banh xeo hai san (Vietnamese crepe with seafood), and cha gio (spring rolls), which were just VND30,000 per serving.
Simzi said that in Vietnam, travelers should not miss the experience of having their hair washed at hair shops at very reasonable costs.
Not only Simzi and Beak, but many other South Korean travelers, including celebrities such as Uhm Jung Hwa, Kim Byung Chul, Myung Se Bin (who acted in Doctor Cha); Park Min Young, Na In Woo and Lee Yi Kyung ("Marry My Husband") have said they love Nha Trang.
South Korean media and travel firms often give compliments about traveling to Khanh Hoa province and Nha Trang.
Haps, a South Korean travel journal, cited four reasons why South Korean travelers should come to Nha Trang – delicious food, beautiful beaches, original culture, and underwater sports activities.
The Korea Herald commented that with attractive landscapes and nightlife activities, Nha Trang deserves to be a vacation destination for young South Koreans.
There are 22 flights from South Korea to Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa every day, and most of them depart from Incheon. Every week, the Cam Ranh International Airport receives an average of 25,000 travelers from South Korea.
June and July are the high summer tourism season in Nha Trang. The sea city is famous for various tours to islands, including Hon Tam, Hon Mun, Hoa Lan (Orchid Island) and Khi (Moneky Island).
A series of videos showing beautiful beaches in Nha Trang have recently been seen by netizens. Of these, one is an island with emerald green water likened to a "miniature Hawaii" in Vietnam. Many photos at the beach have received a "mountain of likes". The Mini Beach is located on Hon Mieu Island, one of the most beautiful islands of the bay, which is near the mainland and just seven minutes by boat from Nha Trang Tourism Port.
The beach is just 300 meters long but the water is very clear and clean, with a beautiful emerald green color and fine white sand. There are thatched-roof huts, interspersed with many white umbrellas and rows of wooden chairs close to the shore, surrounded by green trees and tall coconut trees.
