On the afternoon of March 26, the provincial People’s Council convened its first session to consolidate the leadership apparatus of both the council and the People’s Committee for the new term.

During the session, delegates approved proposals on personnel for the 18th tenure of the People’s Council and People’s Committee and proceeded with elections.

As a result, Doan Thi Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Council for the 17th tenure (2021-2026), was re-elected as Chairwoman of the People’s Council for the new term.

Duong Xuan Huyen and Nguyen Van Truong, Vice Chairmen of the People’s Council for the 17th tenure, were also re-elected as Vice Chairmen for the new term.

Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term, was re-elected to continue serving as Chairman of the Lang Son People’s Committee for the 2026-2031 term.

Dinh Huu Hoc, Doan Thanh Son and Tran Thanh Nhan were also re-elected as Vice Chairmen of the provincial People’s Committee for the new term.

At the session, delegates also elected members of the Lang Son People’s Committee for the 18th tenure, as well as people’s jurors of the provincial People’s Court and regional courts for the new term.
