The Standing Committee of the National Assembly’s Committee for Public Petitions and Oversight has recommended that the Government and the Prime Minister direct ministries, sectors and local authorities to strengthen inspections of E10 biofuel quality nationwide.
The recommendation was presented on June 10 during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee to review the National Assembly’s public petition report for May.
Presenting the report, Committee Chairwoman Le Thi Nga said voters and citizens acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive socio-economic achievements recorded despite ongoing uncertainties in the global environment. They also expressed confidence in the leadership of the Party, the oversight role of the National Assembly and the Government’s management and administration.

Voters also voiced support for the implementation of the two-tier local government model, efforts to streamline the state apparatus and initiatives to promote administrative reform and digital transformation, which are expected to improve the effectiveness of state management and public services.
In addition, voters welcomed the fact that National Assembly deputies met constituents immediately after the first session of the 16th National Assembly, helping strengthen ties between lawmakers and the public.
The report noted that voters highly valued the Government’s decisive and effective leadership. Macroeconomic stability has been maintained, business activities continue to recover and living standards have been safeguarded. Newly introduced social welfare and healthcare policies were also seen as evidence of the Party and State’s commitment to citizens’ well-being.
Citizens expressed satisfaction with increases in the base salary, pensions and social insurance benefits, while calling on the Government to continue controlling inflation and stabilizing prices of essential goods to protect household living standards.
Many voters also showed interest in the ongoing Grade 10 admissions process and the 2026 high school graduation examination, urging continued investment in public education infrastructure and ensuring that examinations are conducted safely, fairly and transparently.
Regarding major infrastructure projects in Hanoi, voters called for strict compliance with legal requirements, transparency in implementation and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of affected residents.

The report also highlighted public concerns surrounding the nationwide introduction of E10 biofuel, persistent serious workplace accidents in several sectors, increasingly extreme weather conditions, risks of electricity shortages during peak demand periods, and potential flooding, flash floods and landslides during the upcoming rainy season.
In addition, rising electricity prices, fuel costs and overall living expenses remain major concerns. Voters called on the Government, ministries and local authorities to implement effective management measures, respond proactively to challenges and support economic recovery and business development.
Based on feedback and recommendations from voters, the Standing Committee of the Committee for Public Petitions and Oversight proposed that the National Assembly Standing Committee recommend the Government and the Prime Minister strengthen inspections of E10 biofuel quality while intensifying public information and communication efforts to build public consensus during implementation.
The committee also called for measures to ensure a stable and secure electricity supply, improve disaster forecasting and warning capabilities, enhance disaster prevention and response plans, and strengthen inspections and enforcement of occupational safety regulations.
In addition, it recommended closer coordination with Hanoi authorities in implementing major projects across the capital. Specific policies and solutions should be introduced to support resettlement and reconstruction projects, helping affected residents stabilize their livelihoods and living conditions.
