Ambassador Pham Hai Anh, deputy head of Vietnam’s permanent mission to the UN, has called on parties involved in Libya to abide by the ceasefire agreement and resolve humanitarian issues in conformity with basic principles of international law.

Ambassador Pham Hai Anh, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. to the UN, reaffirmed Vietnam’s support for a comprehensive political solution led and owned by Libyans on the basis of respecting its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Vietnam and Indonesia have called on the sides involved in Libya to continue implementing their freshly reached ceasefire agreement and move forwards with elections so that peace and stability will soon be established in the nation.

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the permanent Vietnamese mission to the UN, has called on relevant parties in Libya to soon resume peace negotiations. ​

Vietnam has called on all concerned parties in Libya to abide to the temporary ceasefire in Libya and work to early reach a long-term ceasefire and ensure access to humanitarian aid, at an online meeting of the UNSC on Libya on March 26.
