On the morning of October 1, the Miss Cosmo Organization announced significant changes to the competition schedule following the stage collapse incident on September 28.

According to the organizers of Miss Cosmo 2024, this decision aims to maintain the highest production standards while ensuring the safety and well-being of all contestants, as well as enhancing the audience's experience.

The preliminary round, originally scheduled for October 2 at Phu Tho Indoor Stadium, will now be replaced by a judge's evaluation round to take place on October 3, 2024, at a conference center in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City.

For those who purchased tickets for the preliminary round, the organizers have offered a solution: ticket holders can transfer their tickets to attend the judging session and also receive an additional ticket of the same tier for the final night. For those who need to modify or request a refund, the ticketing partner will assist with the necessary procedures.

Despite these adjustments, the pageant community remains eagerly awaiting further updates on the final night’s official venue and other details, set to take place on October 5.

On September 28, 2024, the Miss Cosmo organizers confirmed the collapse of the main stage at Phu Tho Indoor Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. Immediately after the incident, the organizers quickly coordinated with technical experts, medical units, and relevant authorities to manage the situation. Initial assessments confirmed that no significant damage occurred. The organizers have stated that they will continue to work with the relevant parties to determine the root cause of the incident and will update the public as soon as possible.
