Miss Multicultural World 2026 Soe Myintzu Lwin lost her handbag while sightseeing in Hanoi. Local police quickly traced and recovered the missing belongings before she returned to Myanmar.

On July 1, Hoan Kiem Ward Police in Hanoi announced that they had returned a lost handbag to Soe Myintzu Lwin, a citizen of Myanmar.
Earlier, on the evening of June 29, shortly after being crowned Miss Multicultural World 2026 at Ho Guom Opera House, Soe Myintzu Lwin spent time visiting cultural and tourist attractions in Hoan Kiem Ward.
During her sightseeing trip, she accidentally lost a handbag containing an iPhone 14 Pro Max and several important personal belongings.
Immediately after receiving the report, Hoan Kiem Ward Police launched a rapid search operation. Officers reviewed security camera footage from streets and locations the beauty queen had visited in an effort to locate the missing property.
By July 1, police had identified the individual who had found the handbag, recovered all of the missing items and returned them to Soe Myintzu Lwin before her scheduled departure for Myanmar.
Deeply moved after receiving her belongings, Soe Myintzu Lwin sent a letter of appreciation to Hoan Kiem Ward Police and Hanoi City Police, expressing her gratitude for the officers' sense of responsibility, professionalism, dedication and friendly attitude.
In her letter, she said the prompt assistance not only helped recover her lost property but also left her with a lasting impression of Vietnam and its people.
Miss Multicultural World 2026 added that she would share the image of Hanoi and Vietnam as safe, welcoming and hospitable destinations with friends around the world.
