Gửi Vào Thương Nhớ (Sending with Love) features contemporary folk music by composer Le Trong Lap, sending deep love and respect for the soldiers and martyrs.
“I spent one year composing, recording and filming Gửi Vào Thương Nhớ. Our staff travelled to Quang Tri and Ha Tinh, both heroic lands of Vietnam during the anti-American war. This MV stands for our love for many martyrs, heroic mothers and soliders,” said Nga, who has more than 20 years of experience in singing folk and revolutionary music.
In the MV, Nga performs with a symphony orchestra and 400 professional and amateur theatre artists.
Lam Ha, the MV’s art director, said that the music video is filmed as a short documentary to remind audiences of Vietnamese heroic mothers and soldiers who devoted their life to the country and its people.
Nga began her professional career in 1997 after graduating from the Ha Tinh College of Culture and Arts. She studied in the Ha Noi Music Conservatory and Army College of Culture and Arts in Hanoi.
In 1999, she became a solo singer of the Viet Nam Theatre of Singing, Dance and Music in Hanoi, one of the region’s state-owned theatres.
"Through my music, I want to encourage love for the country and soldiers among young people,” said the 43-year-old.
She has travelled across the country to perform for many people living in remote areas.
She has released 12 albums. Her latest album in 2017, Mời Anh Về Hà Tĩnh (Welcome to Ha Tinh), features 12 songs by veteran musicians that highlight Ha Tinh’s history and traditional culture. The work has attracted nearly one million viewers on YouTube.
Last year, her MV, Cúc Ơi! ( Dear Cúc!), in memory of Vietnamese martyrs, left a strong impression on audiences. The work is available on online music websites.
