Hot weather has hit northern Vietnam from Wednesday, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
The northern region will experience cold and rainy weather in the next 10 days.
The northern region has experienced the hottest first two weeks of the year in the past 50 years, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
Northern Vietnam remains the region with the highest number of death from rabies, accounting for 80 percent of the country’s mortality, deputy director of the Department of Preventive Medicine Dang Quang Tan said at a meeting yesterday.
The death toll in the north continues to rise after flooding and landslides ravaged some mountainous areas in Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Son La, Phu Tho and Dien Bien provinces.
