A pair of Korean tourists, Sso and Sam, recently embarked on a long trip to Da Nang, where they spent a significant amount of time indulging in local cuisine. Among the many dishes they tried, pho emerged as their favorite.

“I came to Vietnam just to eat this,” Sso shared on her personal YouTube channel.

The couple tried several pho restaurants during their time in Da Nang, but the one they rated highest is located on Dong Da Street, Hai Chau district.

They discovered this pho restaurant by chance while searching for dining options on Google Maps. The restaurant serves Northern-style pho and is one of the city's long-established eateries, attracting both locals and international visitors every day.

Sso often enjoyed pho during her trip to Vietnam.

Sso’s first impression of the restaurant was its menu, which included Korean translations, making it easier for foreign tourists to navigate. She also appreciated the fast and efficient service.

At the restaurant, Sso ordered a regular bowl of pho, which included three types of beef: rare, brisket, and flank, priced at 55,000 VND. Sam opted for the special pho, which had the same ingredients as the regular bowl but included poached eggs and pork sausage, priced at 65,000 VND.

Although she ordered the regular pho, Sso was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion, with a hearty amount of noodles and beef. When she tasted the broth, she was equally impressed by its rich and flavorful taste.

Sso was also particularly fond of the restaurant’s signature spicy sauce, which she used to dip the beef.

“The sauce is extremely spicy but transforms the flavor of the pho in a big way. With this sauce, it feels like I’m enjoying two completely different pho dishes,” she remarked.

The spicy sauce was one of the main reasons why the couple rated the restaurant so highly.

Sam also shared his preferred way of enjoying pho, which includes adding bean sprouts while the soup is still hot, squeezing in some lime juice, and topping it with spicy sauce.

“The broth isn’t too salty, and the beef is well-seasoned. What I really love is that they add a generous amount of green onions,” Sam added.

Because they were so fond of the pho at this restaurant, Sso and Sam visited it frequently during their stay. Even after several visits, their impression of the place never changed.

Based on their personal experience, the couple ranked this spot as the number one pho restaurant they had tried in Da Nang.
