The first part of the documentary about great poet Nguyen Du (1765-1820), titled Đại Thi Hào Nguyễn Du (Great Poet Nguyen Du), will be in cinemas in HCM City this week.

VietNamNet Bridge – The UNESCO General Conference’s 37th session in Paris has issued a resolution honouring great Vietnamese poet Nguyen Du and other international cultural figureheads.
The UNESCO Executive Board will send the file of Nguyen Du (1765-1820), a great Vietnamese poet renowned for his literary masterpieces ‘Truyen Kieu’ to the UNESCO’s Great Council for his recognition as 'Man of Culture of the World'.
