Vietnam-Czech Republic relations thrive

Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh hailed efforts made by Vietnam and New Zealand in developing their comprehensive partnership steadily towards a future strategic partnership while hosting New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Wendy Matthews.

 National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited Karlovy Vary region of the Czech Republic on April 13 as part of her official trip to the European nation.

 Chairwoman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka agreed that the two countries should enhance cooperation during their meeting in Prague on April 12.

 Vietnam attaches great importance to developing relations with traditional friends in Central Eastern Europe, with the Czech Republic a prioritised partner.

 The Royal New Zealand Navy ship, HMNZS TE KAHA carrying 27 officers and 150 sailors on board docked in central Da Nang city’s port on April 12, starting its five-day friendship visit to Vietnam. 

 Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh has highlighted the two countries’ defence and security cooperation while visiting the US Military Academy in West Point, New York.

 Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and his wife  will pay an official visit to Vietnam from April 16-19.

 National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan arrived in Prague on April 11 (local time) to start an official visit to the Czech Republic at the invitation of President of the Senate of the Czech Parliament Milan Stech.

 Vietnam, Hungary foster cooperation

 Ship Fuyuzuki of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Force docked at Cam Ranh International Port in the south central province of Khanh Hoa on April 11, starting a five-day visit to Vietnam.

Professor Carl Thayer (Australian Defense Force Academy), Dr. Huynh The Du (Harvard University, U.S) and Dr. Dang Hoang Giang shared with Zing.vn on the first year of the new Government.

 The visit of Chairwoman of the Vietnam National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan to the Czech Republic is significant to enhancing the two countries’ ties, said Vice President of the board of the Czech Chamber of Commerce Borivoj Minar.

The implementation of the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union will open opportunities to raise bilateral trade to $10 billion by 2020, Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung told Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov.

 Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received newly-accredited Myanmar Ambassador to Vietnam Kyaw Soe Win on April 10, voicing his hope for the diplomat’s substantial contributions to the already sound relationship of the countries.
