The Vietnam-Cuba Inter-Governmental Committee convened its 34th session in Havana, Cuba with an aim to lift bilateral economic ties on par with the close political ties between the two Parties and States.

Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, his wife and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam arrived in Lima, Peru to attend the 24th APEC Summit Week from November 17 – 20, at the invitation of the President of Peru Pedro Paplo Kuczynsky.

 With 84.58 percent of approval votes, the 14th National Assembly passed a Law on Belief and Religion in the second session’s November 18 sitting.

President Tran Dai Quang, his spouse and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam arrived in Lima, Peru, on November 18 morning (Hanoi time) to attend the 24th APEC Economic Leaders' Week.

 Vietnam will continue cooperating with the new US government, towards strengthening the comprehensive partnership in a practical, long-term and sustainable manner, said Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh.

 The Vietnamese and Lao governments should deliberate accelerating joint investment projects in the coming time, including the Hanoi-Vientiane expressway and the Hon La – Khammouan oil pipeline.

 The 14th National Assembly (NA) approved the Law on Property Auction on November 17 afternoon, part of its ongoing second session in Hanoi. 

  Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc is going to lead a Vietnamese delegation to the ninth Summit on Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle Area, slated for November 23 in Siem Reap, Cambodia. 

 Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc was the last to appear at the National Assembly (NA)’s Question & Answer session on November 17, clearing up a range of issues of public concern. 

 Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will pay an official, friendly visit to Laos from November 24-26, said the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations on November 17. 

 Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak affirmed their common stance on territorial disputes in the East Sea on November 16.  

 President Tran Dai Quang and his wife visited an elementary school named after Vietnamese patriotic hero Nguyen Van Troi in Cuba’s capital Havana on November 16 (Cuban time), on the occasion of his official visit to Cuba. 

 Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha clarified various issues of voters’ concern, including measures to enhance education and training quality at the November 16 National Assembly hearing.
