Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has been appointed Head of the Steering Committee, replacing former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang will serve as Deputy Head of the Committee.
Hoang Thanh Tung, Minister of Justice, has been appointed Standing Deputy Head, replacing Nguyen Hai Ninh, former Minister of Justice.
Pham Duc An, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, will serve as Deputy Head.
Dang Van Dung, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission, replaces Nguyen Huu Dong, former Deputy Head of the commission.
Le Tien, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, replaces Nguyen Quoc Doan, former Deputy Chief Justice.
Phan Tam, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, replaces Le Hai Binh, former Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
A representative of the Government Office is also a member of the Steering Committee.
Chairpersons of the People's Committees of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hue, Dong Nai, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Tay Ninh, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, An Giang, Vinh Long and Quang Ninh have been appointed as members of the Steering Committee.
At the same time, the Prime Minister expanded the committee's responsibilities and authority. The Steering Committee will direct and coordinate ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and relevant organizations in resolving major inter-agency issues involving assets subject to civil judgment enforcement, as well as assets pledged to secure obligations of Van Thinh Phat Group that have been assigned by court judgments to SCB for management and disposal.
Earlier, the Prime Minister established the Central Interdisciplinary Steering Committee on judgment enforcement and the recovery of misappropriated and lost assets in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
The Steering Committee serves as an inter-agency coordinating body assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing and coordinating the resolution of important cross-sector matters concerning judgment enforcement and asset recovery in cases linked to Van Thinh Phat Group.
The committee is tasked with studying, advising, recommending and proposing directions and solutions to address significant inter-agency issues related to the enforcement of judgments and the recovery of misappropriated and lost assets in these cases.
It is also responsible for directing and coordinating ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government bodies and relevant organizations in resolving key inter-sector issues arising during the enforcement of court judgments.
