"Prosperity of Sin Ho Plateau"
Sin Ho Plateau is located at an altitude of more than 1,500m. This place is not only a poetic land with vast forests, windy plateaus, and magnificent landscapes, but also preserves a treasure of folk culture that is formed, passed down and developed seamlessly for hundreds of years.
Sin Ho highland district in Lai Chau province is home to 14 ethnic groups. Along the Nam Na river is the convergence of the typical cultural values of many ethnic groups like Mong, Dao, Thai....
In the process of conquering nature, building a place to live, settling down, the Sin Ho highland ethnic people have accumulated concepts of human life, harmony with nature, and over time gradually transformed into customs and practices with unique and distinct cultural features.
The preservation and promotion of core values in the culture of the Sin Ho highland ethnic community requires the Party Committee and local authorities to implement many appropriate solutions in maintaining, restoring and promoting these long traditional values. Conservation needs to go hand in hand with honoring and restoring the traditional values of the ethnic groups who have long lived in the area.
The local authorities have organized cultural activities such as festivals, art competitions, exhibitions, cultural forums... to help young people understand and love the culture of their ancestors, preserve and develop the unique cultural values of each ethnic group.
Besides, tourism development is also an effective and practical solution to maintain the unique features of Sin Ho highland culture. Tourism helps introduce and advertise the unique cultural values of each ethnic group to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. This also brings a regular and stable source of income for the people, creating conditions for people to continue to preserve and promote their national culture.
