Following the re-election of General Secretary To Lam by the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, several heads of state and party leaders from neighboring countries have sent messages of congratulations, underscoring their admiration and confidence in Vietnam’s leadership.

Lao President and General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith congratulated Mr. To Lam on being elected for another term, calling it a reflection of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people’s deep trust and high regard for his intellect, experience and significant contributions.

He also extended congratulations on the successful conclusion of the 14th National Party Congress, a milestone political event that will shape Vietnam’s development in the new era, especially through its strategic thinking and long-term vision.

He expressed strong belief that under the wise and talented leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by General Secretary To Lam, the Vietnamese people will successfully realize all the goals set by the 14th Congress.

Mr. Thongloun affirmed that, together with General Secretary To Lam and the new leadership of the Vietnamese Party, Laos will continue to preserve and nurture the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, making the Laos–Vietnam strategic partnership ever stronger and more fruitful.

He also expressed his eagerness to meet General Secretary To Lam soon in Vietnam to discuss how to deepen strategic coordination between the two countries in the new era of development.

Chinese President and General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a message of warm congratulations, expressing his delight at Mr. To Lam’s re-election. On behalf of the Communist Party of China and in his personal capacity, Xi extended his best wishes to both Mr. To Lam and the newly elected leadership of the Vietnamese Party.

Mr. Xi Jinping noted that since the 13th Party Congress, the Communist Party of Vietnam has remained steadfast in its path toward socialist modernization tailored to national realities. He praised the Party for strengthening its leadership and uniting the people to achieve major accomplishments, with Vietnam’s international influence continuing to rise.

He emphasized that the success of the 14th Congress has opened a new chapter for Vietnam’s national development and will help inspire global socialist movements.

He voiced his confidence that the Communist Party of Vietnam, under Mr. To Lam’s leadership, will lead the country to even greater achievements, successfully fulfilling the goals set for this new term.

He reaffirmed the shared vision between Vietnam and China as friendly socialist neighbors and a “community of shared future” with strategic significance.

Mr. Xi Jinping also pledged to work closely with Mr. To Lam to strengthen strategic exchanges, uphold the traditional friendship, advance socialist causes, and jointly guide the comprehensive strategic partnership and future-oriented cooperation between China and Vietnam to new heights.

Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, on behalf of the Cambodian people and in his own name, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mr. To Lam. The King expressed his strong belief that under Mr. To Lam’s insightful leadership, Vietnam will achieve great successes across all sectors while maintaining its vital regional and international role.

He expressed hope that the friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia will continue to flourish in the spirit of peace, stability and mutual development.

Cambodian People’s Party Chairman Hun Sen also sent warm congratulations on behalf of the Party’s Central Committee and in a personal capacity. He stated that Mr. To Lam’s re-election reflects the strong trust and confidence of both the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people in his leadership.

Mr. Hun Sen praised Mr. To Lam’s leadership for guiding the nation toward sustainable peace, stability and prosperity, while elevating Vietnam’s regional and global profile.

Mr. Hun Sen expressed confidence that under Mr. To Lam’s integrity, vision and future-oriented mindset, the Vietnamese Communist Party will continue to win strong support from the people and achieve even greater success in implementing the 14th Congress’s resolutions.

He affirmed that the deep-rooted, time-honored friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and countries will continue to grow in both depth and breadth.
