Cooperation brings better benefits

Shipchung.vn, a delivery service provider, in July signed a contract with Chili.vn, the online sale platform provider, under which it undertakes the delivery of goods for the shops using Chilin.vn’s web service.

After the shops take orders from buyers, the system will automatically send requests on deliveries to Shipchung.vn. As such, shop owners will not have to spend time to look for delivery workers.

Delivery firms have also been trying to expand their networks of order-taking points in cities and provinces in order to satisfy the increase in demand from clients, including individuals, organizations and enterprises.

Luong Duy Hoai, CEO of Giao Hang Nhanh (giaohangnhanh.vn), said the firm has set up a network of order taking points, called GHN stations, in many different localities which allow goods owners to save 10-30 percent in expenses.

As of July, giaohangnhanh.vn had 30 order taking points, mostly in HCM City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Bien Hoa and Dak Lak, while it plans to expand the network to 80 points by the end of the year and 200 the next year.

Flexible solutions

AhaMove, a delivery firm, now applies a flexible payment method. It accepts to advance money and pay for goods to goods owners before delivering goods and collecting money from buyers. ShipS and Shipper24h.com have also begun advancing money for orders with low value.

A representative of AhaMove said there were latent risks with the payment method, but it encourages delivery workers to make an effort and helps improve their productivity because they don’t have to spend time to meet goods owners for payment. This is  especially suitable for freelancers.

Warned about the risks, AhaMove has been running well with the method with a reported successful delivery rate of 99 percent.

AhaMove now has 1,000 motorbike drivers registering to work as delivery staff. About 500 motorbike drivers work every day in the two largest cities of Hanoi and HCM City and more than 95 percent of them work as freelancers.  Delivery staff who sign labor contracts with AhaMove take the orders that have special requirements.

ShipS is a bit different from AhaMove as all of its workers are freelancers.

Delivery staff will pay 100 percent of goods value in advance to goods owners. As for big orders, ShipS advances the money, instead of the delivery staff.
