Participants in the Shopee Affiliate program can access competitive commission rates, exclusive vouchers for followers, and opportunities for sponsored collaborations.
The new feature is now available in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan (China), and Brazil.
Thai content creator Suparat shared that within just 10 days of using the new tagging feature, his income had already increased significantly.
In parallel, Shopee and Meta are testing Collaborative Ads, a format that integrates Shopee products into Facebook Live streams.
This allows creators to showcase products, interact with viewers in real time, and drive direct sales during live sessions.
A Shopee representative said the partnership aims to “support content creators, brands, and sellers in more easily connecting with Facebook communities” and to further accelerate the growth of Vietnam’s digital economy.
According to the 2025 Affiliate Marketing Report by ACCESSTRADE, the affiliate marketing market in Vietnam grew 30-fold between 2022 and 2024, reaching a valuation of $700 million to $1 billion.
ACCESSTRADE noted that the market is undergoing a major transformation driven by changes in consumer behavior and the rise of digital technology.
Short-form video platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts are leading a new wave of marketing that enhances user engagement and improves conversion rates.
For Shopee alone, affiliate marketing now contributes about 30% of the platform’s total sales.
