The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting warned that by 7am on Friday, the typhoon was 450km east of the Philippines’ Luzon Island.

The typhoon, moving north-west at 20km per hour, was predicted to gain strength in the next 24 hours.

According to latest news from the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, at 1pm Friday, the typhoon was about 370km from the Philippines’ Luzon Island.
