Just before Lunar New Year, FPT approved the first resolution of the board of directors in 2023. The group obtained consolidated revenue of VND44 trillion in 2022, an increase of 23.4 percent compared with the year before. Its pre-tax profit reached VND7.65 trillion, up by 20.8 percent.
FPT plans to earn VND52.289 trillion in revenue, an increase of 18.8 percent over 2022, and VND9.055 trillion in pre-tax profit, an increase of 18.3 percent.
FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa, said that 20 years of increasing technological capability and its experience with foreign partners have helped build up FPT resources.
FPT is capable of undertaking the nation’s most important projects with high complexity, including the project on fixing errors and upgrading the transaction system of the HCM City Stock Exchange (HOSE), the tax management system, electronic train ticket system and the general management system of FPT.eHospital.
Rikkeisoft enters US, Australian markets with Vietnamese talent
Returning to Vietnam after a long period of doing business in Japan, Rikkeisoft has gained achievements with the ownership of eight branches in large cities in Vietnam and Japan.
The software firm employs more than 1,600 workers and many of them are studying and living overseas. Each year it grows by 1.5-2 times with major clients from Japan and international markets.
Ta Son Tung, chair of Rikkeisoft, said expanding markets and developing partners will still be the firm’s major goals.
“In 2023, we plan to bring Vietnamese information technology (IT) resources abroad to international markets that we are eyeing, including Singapore, Australia and the US. Rikkeisoft is working with regional partners to expand cooperation opportunities in order to implement the plan,” Tung said.
Ngo Minh Quan, Digital Transformation Director of the firm, said in terms of artificial intelligence (AI), Rikkeisoft has gained initial mastering in core technology. The firm plans to make investments in AI-based products, such as smart cameras and loudspeakers.
In 2023, Rikkeisoft will also focus on blockchain technology, exploiting the potential of the technology and focusing on applications in real life.
Rikkeisoft began investments in robotics in 2019 and will promote the creation of products based on robotics technology for use in hotels, resorts and golf courses. It will also respond to the electric vehicle trend by developing AI-based apps and creating apps for the vehicles.
VNG to develop Vietnam’s game industry in Asia
The first tech unicorn of Vietnam, VNG, plans to invest in game studios in Asian markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Taiwan.
A VNG representative revealed that ZingPlay Game Studios (ZPS) will be distributed in unfamiliar markets. It will also continue to make investments in studios such as MPS and ZPS to have global products.
VNG has decided to develop Zalo into a platform that integrates multiple services. It also aims to become a content technology firm, using data and AI.
In terms of payment service, it plans to turn ZaloPay into a popular and indispensable e-wallet. As for cloud computing service, VNG Cloud will become an international-standard service provider. It not only creates technological platforms and products, but also develops technological solutions to handle problems in digital transformation.
